The Last of Us Complete: Collector’s Edition - PS5
$109.99 at PlayStation Direct
“Discover the full narrative that inspired the hit television series through the definitive editions of two award-winning games,” states the official description for The Last of Us Complete. “These versions showcase graphical and gameplay enhancements powered by the PlayStation 5 hardware.”
The Last of Us Complete includes both core titles along with all previously released additional content. This encompasses the Left Behind story DLC, which focuses on Ellie's past, along with The Last of Us Part II Remastered's No Return mode and Lost Levels. For viewers who enjoyed the HBO adaptation starring Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey but haven't explored the original games, this all-inclusive digital package is priced at $99.99.
A PlayStation.Blog post from Naughty Dog's Head of Studio, Neil Druckmann, confirms a physical Collector’s Edition launching July 10 for $109.99, with pre-orders live now. This premium edition includes several exclusive items: a Steelbook case, physical game discs, The Last of Us: American Dreams comic series (issues 1-4), four lithograph art prints, and a personal thank-you letter from Druckmann.
“On behalf of our entire studio, we extend our deepest gratitude for your unwavering support of The Last of Us and Naughty Dog through the years,” Druckmann's post reads. “This marks a significant milestone for the franchise and our teams. We are deeply moved by your personal connections to the series, amazed by your creative Photo Mode contributions, and motivated to continue crafting compelling stories and worlds for you to enjoy.”

The Last of Us franchise debuted on PS3 in 2013 and has maintained a cherished position in PlayStation's library, though its numerous re-releases and remasters have drawn some criticism. Joel and Ellie’s journey was visually upgraded for PS4 in 2014, then fully remade for PS5 in 2022. The Last of Us Part II continued Ellie's saga in 2020 and received a remaster in early 2024. Both games are also available on PC, with Part I arriving in 2023 and Part II Remastered launching recently.
The Last of Us Complete unifies Naughty Dog's post-apocalyptic epic into one collection, serving as another re-release. Although some may question yet another return to this universe, the launch aligns with HBO's The Last of Us Season 2 premiere this Sunday. A third season has already been confirmed.
