How To Unlock 'Under the Straw Hat' in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

To embark on the "Under the Straw Hat" quest, you must first initiate the "In Vino Veritas" side quest in Kuttenberg. Upon arrival, seek out Casper Rudolf, who is offering free wine samples on the west side of the city. Casper needs your help to enhance his wine and will ask you to gather information.

You have two routes to gather the necessary wine knowledge. You can directly approach Havel and impress him with your wine expertise, or retrieve Casper's book from Adleta to gain more insight. If you choose to visit Havel directly, ensure you're well-dressed and clean; otherwise, he won't entertain your conversation. When speaking to Havel, select "Germany," "Steinberger," and "It’s missing ginger" as your responses to extract valuable information. Once you have the information, return to Casper and share your findings.

Access the Vineyard

With the information in hand, Casper will task you with infiltrating the vineyard north of Kuttenberg to gather more details about the incense mentioned by Havel. Avoid wandering into the fields to prevent trespassing. Instead, follow the main road into the vineyard and speak to the recruiter, who will give you the "Under the Straw Hat" side quest. Continue along the road, passing a guard to enter the estate area, until you find Jerome on a bench.

When speaking to Jerome, inform him that you've been instructed to report there. He'll provide you with details about working at the vineyard.

Working at the Vineyard

Your job at the vineyard begins the following day. After resting at an inn or your preferred lodging, return to the vineyard in the morning. For payment, you'll need to move sacks to their designated spots and pick Thistle plants around the vines. Alternatively, you can skip these tasks and head straight for the secret incense.

The incense is stored in the wine cellar, located in the main building downstairs from where you met Jerome. Accessing the cellar requires either a lockpick or stealing Jerome's keys. Inside the cellar, locate a chest and take all the Sulphur Wicks to complete the main objective. For an increased reward, you can also collect seedlings for Casper. From the main building's entrance, head straight across to find the seedlings. Be quick, as this is another restricted area.

If you complete your work duties, report to Jerome at the end of the day to receive your pay. Otherwise, return to Casper with the Sulphur Wicks and, if applicable, the seedlings.
