BlizzConline Unveils Six Warcraft Events

Blizzard's Warcraft 30th Anniversary World Tour: A Global Celebration

Blizzard Entertainment is commemorating three decades of Warcraft with a worldwide tour featuring six fan conventions. These events, spanning February to May, promise live entertainment, exclusive activities, and opportunities to connect with Warcraft developers.

The tour replaces Blizzard's traditional BlizzCon, a decision made after the company's successful foray into other events like Gamescom in 2024 and the inaugural Warcraft Direct digital presentation. This new approach allows Blizzard to celebrate the franchise's significant milestones, including World of Warcraft's 20th anniversary, Hearthstone's 10th, and Warcraft Rumble's first year.

The six-city tour kicks off in London on February 22nd and concludes in Boston during PAX East on May 10th, with stops in Seoul, Toronto, Sydney, and Sao Paulo in between.

Warcraft 30th Anniversary World Tour Dates:

  • February 22 – London, United Kingdom
  • March 8 – Seoul, South Korea
  • March 15 – Toronto, Canada
  • April 3 – Sydney, Australia
  • April 19 – Sao Paulo, Brazil
  • May 10 – Boston, United States (PAX East)

While specifics remain scarce, the conventions are expected to prioritize fan engagement and experiences rather than major announcements. Expect live performances, unique interactive activities, and developer meet-and-greets.

Tickets will be free but strictly limited, emphasizing the "intimate gathering" nature of these events. Distribution details will be revealed through regional Warcraft channels; fans are encouraged to monitor their local channels for updates.

The future of BlizzCon remains uncertain. While a summer or autumn BlizzCon could showcase the upcoming World of Warcraft: Midnight expansion, including highly anticipated player housing, Blizzard's silence on the matter suggests a potential shift to a biannual convention schedule. Regardless, securing a spot at the Warcraft World Tour promises a memorable celebration of the franchise's rich history.
