Happy New Year! Welcome to 2025! Another trip around the sun successfully completed—congratulations! A new year is the perfect time to look ahead, so let's dive into the biggest game releases of 2025 that we know about so far.

January 2025

Dynasty Warriors: Origins
On January 17th, Tecmo Koei's flagship Musou series returns with Dynasty Warriors: Origins, its first full-fledged entry since 2018. This new installment will leverage current-gen hardware to deliver the signature screen-filling battles and the satisfying thrill of mowing down countless enemies. Prepare to shout "DIE, NASTY WARRIORS!" Available on PS5, Xbox Series consoles, and PC.

If you prefer a more long-range approach to eliminating enemies, January 30th brings Sniper Elite: Resistance. This latest entry in the series continues the tradition of… well, let's just say it involves shooting Nazis in the… ahem… less-protected areas. Expect more of what you love (or love to hate) from the series. Available on all Xboxes and PlayStations, plus PC.

February 2025

Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
Is this real life? Is this just fantasy? Neither, but it is a bohemian rhapsody! Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 continues Henry of Skalitz's adventures in 14th-century Bohemia. This historically grounded RPG offers deep role-playing mechanics and a massive open world. Launching February 11th on current-gen consoles and PC.

On the same day, February 11th, experience history on a grander scale with Sid Meier's Civilization VII. This iconic strategy game needs little introduction. Guide a civilization through the ages, exploring, expanding, exploiting, and… well, you know the rest. Available on almost everything except mobile (for now).

February 14th sees the release of Assassin's Creed Shadows, taking the series to the highly anticipated setting of feudal Japan. Play as both a ninja and a samurai—the best of both worlds! Available on current-gen and PC.

Feeling lonely on Valentine's Day? Date Everything! offers a unique solution. This sandbox dating sim lets you romance over 100 anthropomorphic inanimate objects—fully voice-acted, no less. Available on PS5, Xbox Series consoles, Switch, and PC.

Monster Hunter Wilds
February 18th brings Avowed from Obsidian to Xbox Series consoles and PC. Set in the same universe as Pillars of Eternity, but with a first-person perspective and real-time combat, Avowed promises a more focused experience compared to other open-world RPGs.

If you prefer high-seas adventures, February 21st brings Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii. The title says it all. Goro Majima, a fan-favorite character, takes the helm (literally) after a bout of amnesia. Available on Xboxes, PlayStations, and PC.

Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii moved its release date up a week to avoid clashing with Monster Hunter Wilds, which launches February 28th on Xbox Series, PS5, and PC. Capcom aims to refine the core experience while adding new features to appeal to both veterans and newcomers.

March 2025

Split Fiction
March 6th brings another co-op adventure from Hazelight, the creators of It Takes Two and A Way Out. Split Fiction sends a sci-fi and fantasy author into a bizarre virtual reality adventure. One copy allows two players to play online together. Available on PC and current-gen consoles.

March 25th offers a calmer experience with Tales of the Shire, a cozy life sim focused on the daily lives of hobbits. Available on PS5, Xbox Series consoles, Switch, and PC.

Atomfall
Prefer a post-apocalyptic setting? March 27th brings Atomfall, a survival game inspired by Fallout and S.T.A.L.K.E.R., depicting a grim alternate future. Available on all platforms except Switch.

Also on March 27th, the Dungeon Fighter Online universe expands with The First Berserker: Khazan, a single-player action RPG. Available on Xboxes, PlayStations, and PC.

March 28th sees the potential Sims-killer, inZOI, launch on PC. This visually stunning South Korean game could become one of the year's biggest releases. PC launch, with current-gen console versions planned later.

April 2025

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves
April 24th marks the return of Fatal Fury with Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, the first new entry in the series this century. Available on PlayStations, Xbox Series, and PC.
