How To Get Paradisan Ladder in Avowed

There are five primary ways to acquire Paradisan Ladder in Avowed: purchasing from Merilyn, foraging while exploring, earning it as a side quest reward, breaking down items, and downgrading Hylea's Talon.

Merylin the Merchant

Purchasing from Merilyn, located in South Paradise (see map above), offers the fastest guaranteed method. She initially offers five units at 150 coins each. She also sells two items—the Many-Hued Doublet and the Common Grimoire of Elements—which yield two additional units each when broken down. Note that her inventory doesn't seem to replenish.

Exploring for Paradisan Ladder

Paradisan Ladder can be found throughout the game world, both in the wilderness and occasionally in cities like Paradise. Look for the plant icon on your mini-map (red circle in image above). While other plants may resemble it, actively searching your immediate vicinity during exploration steadily builds your supply.

Side Quests

Avowed's difficulty curve encourages completing side quests, many of which reward Paradisan Ladder. For instance, the early quest "Escape Plan" provides two units. While requiring additional effort, this method provides extra herbs alongside XP and other rewards.
