Alchemy Stars to Cease Services, Offline Version in Development

Alchemy Stars is shutting down its online services on January 24th, 2025, but not before offering players a unique offline experience. Tencent and Level Infinite announced the transition last month. The game, initially launched in June 2021, will become available as a standalone offline version allowing players to revisit the story and their progress.

Shutdown and Offline Transition:

Live service ends January 24th, 2025 at 4:00 GMT. A crucial update (version 1.43.0) will be deployed on January 10th, 2025, from 4:00 to 9:00 GMT. This update introduces a local data save feature, essential for preserving your game progress. Players must save their data via a button on the main menu before the January 24th deadline. Multiple saves are allowed until 4:00 GMT on that date; any unsaved data will be lost permanently.

The offline version will be a static experience with no further updates or re-downloads. Deleting the app will result in permanent data loss. However, the offline mode will permit replaying the story, upgrading units, and interacting with saved data.

Action Required:

Players are urged to download the game from the Google Play Store before its removal and save their progress before the January 24th deadline.

Looking Ahead:

While the offline version offers a consolation prize, the complete cessation of online features is still a significant change. Stay tuned for our upcoming coverage on Play Together's first 2025 update, including exciting new features like the Club!
