In standard Gin Rummy, you can only knock if you have 10 or fewer deadwood points. Knocking with zero deadwood is known as "gin," while knocking with deadwood points is called "going down."

In this rule variant, there's no knocking. Both players aim for gin, and the first to get it wins the round of Straight Gin Rummy.

♥️ Oklahoma Gin Rummy ♥️

In this popular version, the first face-up card determines the maximum deadwood points allowed to knock. If a seven is showing, you must reduce your unmatched card total to 7 or less to knock.
