Compatibility with Smartphones
The compatibility of the FreeStyle LibreLink app may vary across different smartphones and operating systems. For a comprehensive list of compatible devices, please visit http://FreeStyleLibre.com.
Using Your App and Reader with the Same Sensor
When using the FreeStyle Libre 2, you have the option to receive alarms either on your FreeStyle Libre 2 reader or your smartphone, but not simultaneously. To receive alarms on your phone, you must start the sensor with the app. Conversely, starting the sensor with your FreeStyle Libre 2 reader is necessary to receive alarms on the reader. Once started with the reader, you can still scan the sensor using your phone.
It's important to note that the app and the reader do not share data. To ensure you have comprehensive data for your reports, scan your sensor every 8 hours with the device you are using. All data can be uploaded and viewed on LibreView.com.
